During Your Appointment
Once we call you back for your appointment, we will begin a comprehensive review of your oral health. This typically begins with getting digital x-rays of your teeth and mouth. Digital x-rays offer a more detailed view of your teeth with less radiation than traditional x-rays. This technology allows for a safer experience while giving better imagery and photos of your teeth and jaw.
Once we have obtained the digital x-rays which are quickly uploaded into our computer system, we can begin your exam. You may spend time with our hygienist who can inspect your teeth and gums for periodontal issues and recommend the right level of cleanings to care for your oral health. You may receive a dental cleaning, depending on the results and time allotted for your appointment.
For your dental exam, we use the latest dental technology to review your mouth for any decay or damage to your teeth. We utilize laser decay detection and transillumination technology that can detect issues that do not appear on x-rays or through a physical examination. Catching small pockets of decay or tiny cracks early can make it easier and more affordable to fix these issues, saving you time and money in the future.
Dr. Ghattas will take the time to thoroughly discuss any dental issues we find and explain any treatments you may need. He will answer any questions you have and give you advice on how best to care for you or your child’s smile.
This first visit will help us determine the best treatment plan to keep your smile healthy and beautiful. Contact Dentistry of Kingwood today to schedule your appointment.
